Contacts

If you want Siren 2007 to send messages to someone then they must be registered in the contact database.

Contact Details

All contacts have a name to identify them and associate an interface that will be used to send messages. Most contacts also require further identification such as a phone or pager number.

The Siren 2007 integrated help is the best resource for contacts, containing specific information about each contact type and popup hints for each field.

Add a Contact

The Contacts screen shown previously may be used to add, edit and delete contacts. Another way to add contacts, particularly if you want to register more than one way to reach a contact, is to to use the Add a Contact screen:

Contacts added in this way will use the first available interface for each contact type. You should confirm from the Contacts screen that the appropriate decisions have been made.
