The first step in installing any Siren 2007 system is setting up the hardware.

Detect Hardware

The Actions menu provides options to automatically detect and register all or selected types of hardware in your computer.

You should make a policy decision whether to register all hardware on your network, or restrict what hardware you add to reduce clutter.

Hardware Details

All hardware has a name to identify it, and a computer name that specifies where the hardware is located. Some hardware requires additional information.

The Siren 2007 integrated help is the best resource for hardware, containing specific information about each hardware type and popup hints for each field.
